Layout 2 with CTMH "Chalk It Up"

Here is layout number 2 that I completed with the same $9.95 packet. I love using the matching stickers and chipboard complements.

This design was created from the reflections scrapbook program. Do you see my surprise flip flap yet? Keep looking!

Left side pattern is from page 17 master pattern. The "6th" was cut with a cricut cartridge. I inked the edge with black exclusive ink and stamped the "grade" with it also.  The stamp set I used is called Marquee Uppercase, I fussy cut the letters out after stamping. Fussy cut means: cutting all the little details around a stamped object. FUN!! :) The "Year" and the two stars are a chipboard piece from Chalk It Up Complements. I stamped the letters around my 4x6 picture with an old stamp of the month from JULY, Circus Alphabet Stamp. (Don't look to close at the letter "B" it is upside down, oops!) All the edges on this paper are distressed with an edge distresser.
The right side layout is from page 40 master pattern. I used the 3-D foam tape under the chipboard pieces. I did stamp the middle chevron with lagoon exclusive ink and used the arrow stamp from the stamp set Have a happy day. I also distressed all the edges on this side too.

OK, here comes my flip flap surprise!!

I added a 4x6 flip flap, this could be used for more pictures or even more area to journal.

Thanks for looking at my project. Hope you have as much fun creating it as I did.

Chalk It Up Paper Packet

School has started and the house work list is getting longer. Who wants to take a break, print out pictures and start scrapping again. If so, I have the layouts for you. :) Hope you like them. Oh and by the way keep reading or looking, I have a Flip Flap Surprise at the end.

I found the layout design in our Close to my Heart, pattern book. This layout design was from "Make It from Your Heart" volume 2 pattern 12.

Using this book is so great any time you get stuck. We have many other books to help.  Here are a few pictures of each side.

I used cricut artbooking cartridge for the layer that has 1,2,3 and ABC. I also cut out the small journal paper and stamped the lines on it. The extra details on these pages make it fun. The item down the center is a black and white ribbon and I used the silver shimmer trim (glitter without the mess).

I used the Chalk It Up Complements (chipboard) and Assortment (puffy stickers).

Ready for the the Flip Flap surprise? Here it comes:
Did you see it? This is the left page layout. I love flip flaps and the challenge it gives me for every layout. Just by adding a flip flap to outside of my page protector. I have turned a 2 page layout with 4-5 photos into a 2 page layout with extra area for an additional 4 photos. I take so many photos, Flip Flaps make it very easy to use more of them.
This was a fun layout using Chalk It Up. I can't wait to show you more of what I created with the Chalk It Up paper packet and a few extra pieces of paper.

More to come very soon!! Happy Scrapping and Creating!
I will be posting these on pinterest and on my facebook page soon.

First Blog Post

This is my first blog post to start showing off my creations.(I am just a little nervous) I have been scrap booking for a long time. I have had a few friends tell me that I should post my pictures. I wasn't sure how. I did some research and thought BLOGGING and Pinterest!! I don't know if I will be good at this but I want to try. :)

I am not a journalist or a web designer. I will be learning as I go. As you follow with me, you will see some changes.  Some of my stuff will be my own creations and some will be things that I learned from other bloggers, crafters or friends. I am an independent consultant for Close To My Heart but I will also be showing you my creations made from other products. I promise to tell you where I got my idea and I will give credit, where credit is due. I just ask that you do the same.

My next blog post will be about my upcoming class that I have created with Close To My Heart, Chalk It Up paper packet. It is a great paper pack for scrap booking back to school photos. I had a lot of fun putting this together. I always like to give myself a challenge by adding Close To My Heart, Flip Flaps. If you don't know what these are, you will see them a lot in my creations. Most everything I use will be available on my Close To My Heart website and you can get there with a click of a button at the top right.

Meeting and talking to new friends will be fun. Hope you enjoy all my posts....
